Rumor has it that the small store with a cult following in downtown Phoenixville, PA is going global. The proof is out there and the bloggers, Twitts, Yelpers, and FB'ers are all over this story with photographs to prove it. Got Buddha Bowls??????
Since I've discovered Capree's blog (My Adventure Is Your Advantage) I have been a huge fan. I even have her blog on my top bar of 'favorites'. Capree's blog is fresh, insightful and inspiring. As a retailer it's hard to find inspiration but Capree really has her finger on the pulse of design. Quite frankly, I don't know how and where she finds her information but I'm glad she does it. Now Capree has included one of our products and our store on her blog and I have to say that I'm as proud as can be. To be mentioned by someone that inspires you is really awesome.

MIXKO Bone China Skull Ring
Straight out of the UK design firm MIXKO comes these ultra sleek, ultra contemporary, ultra goth bone china skull rings. Don't fall for imitations with their shallow eyes and poor detail. These handmade porcelain skulls are finely detailed and in proper proportion for its size. The minute I saw these rings it was love at first sight and you'll fall equally in love. The smooth cool texture of the bone china gives these skulls a whole new grove. The hard edge skull image marries perfectly with the smooth bone china medium. They are measured in mm and are available in our store or on our website at www.HipsterHome.com but hurry because we're one of the first stores in the US to actually stock these rings so you'll hard pressed to actually try one on at any other store. Join us in our fight against the "e-tailer" which is ruining the American dream of hard work and dedication.

James Lounge Rate Best Sleeper Sofa of 2010
Yes it's true. Our sleek, clean lined and comfortable James Lounge Sleeper Sofa by Gus Modern has been rated one of the top convertibles in 2010 by Apartment Therapy NY. The famed blog has given it's two thumbs a point to the sky saying "yes" to our George Nelson inspired sleeper. It's a very sophisticated piece that resembles a tailored mens suite with grey herringbone pattern and blind tufting for stability and comfort and it stands up to some of the best in the design industry. This piece will be relevant for a long time to come and will last you just as long. The base has a cool stainless steel frame with seamless welding so there's nothing to screw together or loosen................ EVER! This is one of our favorite pieces in the entire Gus Modern collection. And remember we ship for free http://www.shop.hipsterhome.com/product.sc?productId=604&categoryId=34

Another Satisfied Geneva Customer
Thanks Eric for sending this great photograph of his newly purchased large Geneva Sound System in walnut. Of course he placed it next to another one of his prized possessions, his original Heritage H-555 Gibson guitar that was made at the original Kalamazoo Michigan plant. Eric also purchased a small Geneva Sound unit in black for his bedroom. I can't imagine anything better than having a small Geneva with an iPhone docked right to it sitting in your bedroom as it charges playing your favorite tunes (it'll even accept phone calls while it's docked and playing turning off the music so you can accept the phone call.............. WOW!). And all this while not losing an ounce of sound thanks to the class D amplifiers and the handmade box that projects the tremendous sound.

Philly Magazine Best Places to Live
10 AWESOME NEIGHBORHOODS TO CALL HOME
BY LAUREN MCCUTCHEON & CHRISTINE SPEER
The Crossroads
Phoenixville, Chester County
Pre-war twins sit cheek-to-jowl with Victorians and new condos in a borough where CEOs and construction workers all shop at the same organic grocery. The small but flourishing downtown and a recent flood of young people up the cool factor, too.
Schools: High-ranking Phoenixville Area High School has a 15:1 student-teacher ratio.
Commute to Philly: 40 minutes by car; 20-minute drive to the Villanova train station, then 25 minutes on the R5.
Things you get: Housing from $150,000 to $600,000-plus; parks galore, including neighboring Valley Forge; 32 places of worship; Civic Center family nights; neighborhood hangs (Pickering Creek Inn, Iron Hill Brewery … ).
Things you don’t: A train stop. Every township along the 422 corridor wants a line, but it hasn’t happened yet. Also, good Chinese food.
Betcha didn’t know: Oft overshadowed by Colonial Theatre’s BlobFest, the Firebird Festival bonfires a locally crafted sculpture of a phoenix.
Residents you ought to know: David Friday and Lindsay Herman, owners of Bridge Street’s stylish Hipster Home (meet ’em on First Fridays); Dan and Marge Lejeune, who built Phoenixville’s private golf club, Rivercrest.
The future: More momentum behind Project Train. In the meantime, more bike paths and off-trail bike parking.
Meet the neighbors: “We bought 20 years ago,” says Greg Cordes, who lives with his wife, Linda, in a 1938 colonial, “and it turned out to be a gold mine. Down the street is Holy Family school, where our daughter went. We can walk to the theater, shopping, to eat. We’re selling our house — it’s too big for us now — but we’re staying here. Forever.”
Wanna buy here? “Prices are reasonable, especially with so many community amenities,” says Joseph Scott McArdle, of Prudential Fox & Roach. “But places priced the same can be in vastly different condition. Look at everything, and make sure your agent knows Phoenixville and knows a deal from ... what’s not.”
Just sold: A new-construction one-bedroom condo with garage parking, hardwood floors and an eco-friendly kitchen, for $165,500.
You might also like: Manayunk … hardscrabble historic, community-oriented, close to Center City, and ready for a rebound.
